What We Do

Dedicated to using early literacy to change the life trajectory of individuals born into low income circumstances, Word Playground is a video based literacy scaffold that uses Montessori techniques to present principles of the science of reading to toddlers and preschoolers, who are significantly motivated in language, but have no consistent literacy prep.

We collaborate with schools, caregivers, and parents to equip future kindergarten classes with essential early reading skills, including phonics, phonemic awareness, fostering curiosity, letter and sound exploration, vocabulary building, pattern recognition, and promotion of a positive learning environment.
